Emirates connect Dubai with direct flights to Yinchuan
As announced a while ago, Emirates kept their promise and connected Dubai with a direct flight to Yinchuan, Ningxia on Tuesday 03.05.2016. Emirates now offers connectivity to five destinations in the Peoples Republic China that include Yinchuan, Yangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.
The flight on Tuesday was carrying a VIP delegation — on board were Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and CEO of Emirates airline and Group. The Boeing 777-200LR was greeted with a water cannon salute when it landed in Yinchuan Hedong International Airport.
Emirates connect Dubai with Yinchuan – Shakih Ahmand said: “it will boost trade and tourism flows to Ningxia.”
During the press conference, Shaikh Ahmad said:“This new route will provide citizens in and near both cities with convenient and fast connections to destinations in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe via Dubai. We are confident the new air transport links will also help boost trade and tourism flows to the growing central and western parts of China.” A route like the newly established one from Dubai to Yinchuan is long needed. Until Tuesday, visitors had to take a flight from a Chinese airport because there didn’t exist any direct flight to Yinchuan from outside the country. With the newly established route, one of the fastest growing Chinese cities is linked to the Arab states.

Not just for the business aspect, Yinchuan is also linked with Dubai and other Arab states because of the Hui population living in Yinchuan and Ningxia. Hui people believe in Islam and so it’s more than obvious why the Chinese focus on a bridge between the Hui autonomous Region Ningxia and the Arab states. Now that the Emirates flight from Dubai to Yinchuan is available, we can be more than sure that it will boost the Ningxia economy even more.
